Join our incredible team

Our incredible team support one another to constantly drive innovation, embrace change and work towards bigger and better goals. Whether you’re considering an engineering, sales, professional services or administration role, you’ll find Ideal is an exciting place to work.

The right size to contribute from day one

When you join Ideal, you’ll find we’re small enough for you to stand out as an individual, but big enough for you to feel part of a team. Everyone from the CEO to the newest employee share the same space.

Weekly updates and quarterly forums ensure you always know how the company is doing and where we’re going. And you’ll feel part of it from day one.

Progression for everyone

We want everyone to fulfil their potential, so we created the Ideal Academy, to help you grow, develop skills, and advance your career.

Through clear role progression pathways, tailored training plans and hands-on learning, the Academy will equip you with the knowledge and expertise you needed to get to the next level. With a strong support system and the opportunity to be mentored by others in the business, it’s a great way to build your confidence, while you achieve new career goals and drive innovation within the company.

Happiness is core to our work philosophy

Mo, our Founder and CEO, feels that work should be something you enjoy as well as something you have to do to pay the bills.

By listening to our employees via a quarterly Happiness poll and checking-in with our customers, we do our best to tackle any problems early and embrace opportunities to ensure we remain a brilliant place to work.

Over the last two years, our Happiness Index has averaged 8.5, well over the industry average.

Everyone’s welcome

We celebrate diversity, encourage creativity, and foster an environment where every team member can take pride in their contribution. Individual achievements are celebrated. We aren’t afraid to do things differently, or take the road less travelled, if it’s what is right for our customers, our people, or our planet.

Giving back with Volunteer Days

At the core of our Values of Pride, Relationships and Ambition is the concept of giving back.

To that end, you’ll be entitled to a paid Volunteering Day each year where you can give your time to a cause you believe in. That could be something at your kid’s school; a fundraiser for a charity or something in the community where you live.

You can also join our group Volunteering activities, perhaps helping disadvantaged groups to learn coding via evening events with codebar for example or joining us to spruce up local community facilities.

Culture Club constantly surprising us all

Culture Club is Ideal’s ‘fun committee’. People from different areas of the business come together to organise campaigns and events.

From homemade cakes to cheer up Blue Monday in January to Pancakes on Shrove Tuesday and the summer Sports Day, there are so many opportunities for you to get involved, if you wish to (no-one’s forcing you to eat cake!).
