If that happens too often, business efficiency is compromised and the knock-on impact of late deliveries and subsequent harm to brand reputation could be serious.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"h3\">The unique challenges of automated warehouse Wi-Fi design<\/h2>\n<p>The initial challenge is the space itself. In a warehouse covering the size of two football pitches, stock levels constantly vary, potentially compromising sight lines and signal strength.<\/p>\n<p>Access Point (AP) positioning is therefore essential, but over-specifying can be costly and potentially less effective; overlaps can cause signal confusion for the forklifts.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"et_pb_text_inner h3\">Integrating with back-office functions<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"et_pb_row et_pb_row_2\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_column et_pb_column_3_5 et_pb_column_2 et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_module et_pb_text et_pb_text_2 et_pb_text_align_left et_pb_bg_layout_light\">\n<div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\">\n<p>Of course, the warehouse doesn\u2019t operate in isolation.
